Week 3 of October

We started off the week with learning about Medical Terminologies and students enjoyed learning new interesting terminologies!
We also had our regular First Aid Training session. One of the batches of students studied the details of managing Legal and Ethical Compliance in Aged Care and they were introduced to all the relevant Laws and professional code of Ethics.
Students got an in-depth understanding of the importance of Communication and the various strategies specific to consumers, staffs and visitor communication needs and preferences. The cultural interpretations and religious requirements were also touched upon regarding body language, eye contact and gestures.
Students specialising in Disability Support learnt more about person centred approach for developing better understanding about individual requirements of clients.
The Saturday batch learnt about various healthy body systems and enjoyed the video presentation of the structure and function of the human body.
