1. Why we collect your personal information
As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Capital Careers is required by law to collect personal information about you and disclose that information to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER). We collect this information to process your enrolment, monitor your academic progress, and provide you with tailored support services.
2. How we use your personal information
We use your information to:
- Verify your identity and eligibility for enrolment.
- Manage your training and assessment, including the issuance of AQF certification.
- Comply with our reporting obligations under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011.
- Conduct institutional self-assurance and research to improve our training outcomes.
3. Disclosure of your personal information
We are required by law (under the NVETR Act) to disclose your personal information to relevant Commonwealth and State or Territory government departments and authorized agencies. These may include:
- The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) for regulatory audits and monitoring.
- The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR).
- The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER).
- State and Territory Training Authorities (for funded students).
4. How NCVER and other agencies use your information
NCVER will collect, hold, use, and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the National VET Data Policy. Your information may be used for:
- Issuing a VET Transcript via the Unique Student Identifier (USI).
- Population of the national VET statistics and research.
- Sending you a student survey which may be administered by a government department or an NCVER employee, agent, or third-party contractor
5. Access, correction, and complaints
Our Privacy Policy contains detailed information about how you may:
- Access and seek correction of the personal information held about you.
- Complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles and how we will deal with such a complaint.
